Perceptions of Wheelchairs by Wheelchair Users / Family / Caregivers

Perceptions of wheelchairs used by wheelchair users, their families or caregivers.

Bridget Churchill (Occupational Therapist) is conducting a study on the perceptions of wheelchairs used by wheelchair users, their families or caregivers.

This survey is anonymous and allows feedback on 1-3 wheelchairs per user (manual and powered). It will take between 15-25 minutes to complete. You can repeat this survey as many times as you would like (for different wheelchair users). The survey is best completed on a computer / laptop, but is possible on a tablet / mobile.

Bridget is the Clinical Educator for Spex Limited (see www.spexseating.com) who is facilitating this survey – you do not have to use Spex seating technology to participate.

The survey will explore perceptions of the wheelchair and explores whether these are influenced by roles, culture, age, diagnosis, ability, type of wheelchair and its features. We will ask some information about age, ability, type of wheelchair and diagnosis and your role. It is based upon previous work by Lanutti et al. (2015) and Tamm and Prellwitz (2001) and will close at the end of January 2021.  Your participation is greatly appreciated.
