Lecture and arts events include significant artistic or intellectual content related to academic programs and/or relevant to the institutional mission and are open to the College community. All proposals must be submitted by a BSC faculty or staff member and the event itself must have members of the BSC staff present to moderate and/or oversee the event. The Catalog indicates that programs are limited to Provost’s Forums, visual and performing arts events, and approved speakers. Criteria:
- Purpose and topic relevant to BSC academic programs, mission, and/or strategic initiatives
- Presenters, panelists, or moderators have appropriate or extensive academic, professional, or civic credentials relevant for the purpose and topic (note: faculty or staff presentations should demonstrate a departure from routine, e.g., sabbatical presentations)
- Event format will draw out relevant intellectual or artistic content
- Event is accessible and potentially appealing to large section of BSC students/community
- A BSC faculty or staff member will be present for the entirety of the event to moderate as needed

- Bruno Great Hall
- College Theatre
- GeoDome
- Harbert Auditorium (128)
- Hill Recital Hall
- Munger Auditorium
- Norton Theatre
- Room 10 of the Art Building
- Stephens Conference Center (1st floor of Harbert)
- Stockham Parlor
- a room that can reasonably hold 70+ attendees
