  • Due to the nature of the work for which you are applying, this post in exempt from the provisions of section 4 (2) of the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exclusions and Exceptions) (Scotland) Order 2003 (As amended).

    The Protecting Vulnerable Groups Scheme (PVG Scheme), which delivers on the provisions outlined in the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) (Scotland) Act 2007 will:

     • Help to ensure that those who have regular contact with children and protected adults through paid and unpaid work do not have a known history of harmful behaviour.  Disclosure information will not be used for any other purpose than in connection with this application and a criminal record will not necessarily be a bar to employment. We will check professional registers:  SSSC, NMC and other professional bodies.

    All successful applicants will be required to join the PVG scheme. The fees to join this scheme are £59 for a new member and £18 for an existing member. The fees must be paid by the successful applicant prior to employment.

  • Training Agreement

  • In consideration of the training which I will be receiving from Ailsa Care Services I agree to remain employed by Ailsa Care Services Limited for a minimum period of 6 months after completion of the training.

    For the purposes of this agreement, training will be classed as the one day classroom based course, all mandatory e-learning courses and any paid training shifts in the community. If I leave within 6 months I agree to refund to my employer £ 200 (pre-estimate of cost of training) or a proportion based on the following scale:

     

    Less than 3 months after completion of training                        100%

     

    3 months but less than 6 months after completion of training    75%

     

    6 months but less than 9 months after completion of training    50%

     

    9 months but less than 12 months after completion of training   25%

     

    In the event of my failure to pay I agree that my employer has the right as an express term of my Contract of Employment to deduct any outstanding amount due under this agreement from my salary or any other payments due to me on the termination of my employment in accordance with the legislation currently in force.
