The Department of Linguistic and Cultural Evolution (DLCE) at the Max Planck Institute for Evolutionary Anthropology is offering grants for the documentation of linguistic diversity focussing on languages of Latin America and Oceania. The grants are managed by the Endangered Languages Documentation Programme (ELDP).
The DLCE is providing grants of up to 5,000 € for work contributing to Glottobank. If you are working on a Latin American language or a language of Oceania (broadly construed to include Micronesia, Polynesia, the Western Pacific, New Guinea, and Island Southeast Asia) and can contribute new language data to the Glottobank databases, this call is for you. The funds can be used for travel and subsistence costs, recording equipment or equipment for remote/distributed fieldwork, and consultant payments.
