Throughout the course of the pandemic, we’ve worked closely with our partners in the Pasadena Public Health Department (PPHD). Our current health and safety protocols require all members of our school community to test for COVID-19 weekly. However, employees and students who submit proof of COVID-19 vaccination may choose to opt out of our weekly testing protocol. We will continue to offer on-campus testing for all members of our school community, including faculty, staff, and students.
As many of you may be aware, a health order issued by Governor Newsom will require all K-12 students, in both public and private schools across the state, to be fully vaccinated starting no earlier than the 2022-2023 school year. The order will go into effect as the vaccines receive full FDA approval over the coming months. In anticipation of this upcoming order and upon the request of the Pasadena Public Health Department, we are asking for your assistance in preparing La Salle for the next phase of health guidelines.
If your child is fully vaccinated and you have already submitted their proof of vaccination, you do not need to take any additional action.
If your child is fully vaccinated and you have not submitted their proof of vaccination, please do so by December 17, 2021. Please note that students may still opt-in for weekly testing on campus, even after submitting their proof of vaccination.
If your child is not fully vaccinated or if we do not receive their proof of vaccination, your child will be considered unvaccinated in our percentage reporting for the Pasadena Public Health Department. Note that all students and employees who have not submitted proof of full vaccination are required to test weekly.
Proof of vaccination information will remain private in the same way that all student health records are kept. If you have any questions, please email covidteam@lasallehs.org.
