HCA Nursing Scholarship

Eligibility and Requirements

Licensed Practical/Vocational Nursing (LPN/LVN)

$7,000.00

Currently enrolled in a Board of Nursing accredited Licensed Practical Nursing or Licensed Vocational Nursing program (LPN/LVN)
Acceptance of the HCA Nursing Scholarship, the recipient upon hire will be a LPN/LVN extern (LNA in New Hampshire)
The HCA Nursing Scholarship will be awarded in two (2) disbursements. $3,500.00 upon hire as an LPN/LVN extern (LNA in New Hampshire) and $3,500.00 at the time of graduation and acceptance of a full-time employment role upon hire into a full-time Licensed Practical/Vocational (LPN/LVN) position in an HCA facility
Acceptance of the HCA Nursing Scholarship, the recipient will provide a 1 year full-time employment commitment in an HCA facility located in New Hampshire, Central Virginia or Southwest Virginia
The HCA Nursing Scholarship is in acceptance for full-time employment in the following areas:
Medical Surgical Unit (Med-Surg)

Registered Nurse (RN)

$14,000.00

Currently enrolled in a Board of Nursing accredited Associate Degree in Nursing OR Bachelors of Science in Nursing program
The recipient must be in their junior semester/term/quarter as defined by the nursing institution guidelines
Acceptance of the HCA Nursing Scholarship, the recipient upon hire will be a nurse extern (LNA in New Hampshire) in an HCA facility
The HCA Nursing Scholarship will be awarded in the amount of $14,000.00 in three (3) equal disbursements. The first disbursement will distributed upon hire as a nurse extern (LNA in New Hampshire), the 2nd disbursement will be distributed at the time of graduation, with the 3rd and final disbursement distributed upon hire into a full-time Registered Nurse (RN) position in an HCA facility located in New Hampshire, Central or Southwest Virginia
Acceptance of the HCA Nursing Scholarship, the recipient will provide a 1 year full-time employment commitment in an HCA facility located in New Hampshire, Central or Southwest Virginia
The HCA Nursing Scholarship is in acceptance for full-time Registered Nurse (RN) position in the following area:

A 500 word typed essay on the following topic:
1. As a New Graduate Nurse, How Will You Deliver Empathetic Care?
An UNOFFICIAL copy of your current Nursing School Transcripts
Two (2) Recommendations (Recommendation link listed below)
- One (1) MUST be from a current employer. If unemployed, letter must be from latest employer
- One (1) MUST be from a nursing faculty member from current nursing program where applicant is enrolled
A signed employment agreement for the disbursement of funds and in exchange for a 1 year full-time employment commitment to work in a HCA facility which will be provided by Human Resources when the scholarship is awarded to recipient.
