  • Please fill out and sign this form if you would like to participate in the High Schools of the Olympic Peninsula Creative Crafts & Art Exhibit.  Be sure to fill in every space, even with n/a for not applicable.  By signing below, you agree to allow the City of Sequim to exhibit your artwork, as well as use your profile information and photos in City of Sequim publications, websites, social media channels, signage, and distribution to media. This agreement remains in effect until you rescind your decision in writing or until the termination of the High Schools of the Olympic Peninsula Creative Crafts & Art Exhibit.

    Note: Each person is allowed to submit up to two pieces of art but each piece will need a separate entry form filled out.

  • I attest that the artwork submitted is my original work of art. I understand that if my piece is selected for exhibition that it must be presented "ready to hang" with picture hanging wire installed, framed or matted and framed, or on panel for presentation in the Karen Kuznek-Reese Gallery at Sequim Civic Center. Plexiglass rather than picture glass is preferred and recommended for framed artwork submissions.

  • Criteria for Non-acceptance of Art Work

    • Artwork is not presented "ready to hang".
    • Gallery space contraints; we may reject artwork based on capacity limits in our gallery, as we strive to curate a broad array of mediums in our exhibitions.
    • Faults of design or workmanship pose a public health or life safety hazard or diminish the value of the work.
    • The artwork is fraudulent, inauthentic and/or appears to be of inferior quality relative to the quality of other works in the art collection.
    • The artwork is not the original.  Please do not submit Giclee prints or photocopies of artworks.
    • Inappropriate and incompatible artwork is defined as political art, sexually suggestive art, religious art, violent art, nudity, and derogatory art against race, ethnicity, national origin, gender, religion, marital status, sexual orientation, or other person or class of people protected under RCW 49.60.030.

  • Deadline for submissions is Wednesday, March 15th at 4pm. All entries will be juried by Sequim's City Arts Advisory Commission by Monday, March 27th, 2023. Artists will be notified of their status by Wednesday, March 29th. Artwork delivery will be scheduled for March 31st and April 3rd and you will be contacted to schedule delivery of your work to Sequims Civic Center.     Selected pieces will be displayed in the Karen Kuznek-Reese Gallery in Sequim's Civic Center, 152 W Cedar Street from April 7th - 27th. The juried top three pieces will receive a prize, and there will be an awards ceremony and artist reception on Friday, April 14th, from 5-6pm.
