Degree Milestones

Ex: The first year of working on your Bachelor of Arts in Communication studies will consist of working on General Education courses. Taking 15 credits per semester will have you on track to graduate in eight semesters. We encourage you to meet with your advisor and your professors for any questions concerning the program. Your first year is prime to join clubs and meet others in you major and concentration.
Year 2

Ex: Going into your second year, you will still have some General Education courses to complete. Along with these courses, you will be taking course related to your major. You will most likely find that these courses spark you interest more than others. Continue to get to know you professors. They want to see you succeed. Stay in those clubs you joined last year and keep making those connections!

Ex: You are half way there! Can you see the finish line? Now is a great time for you to start having regular meetings with faculty mentors. Discuss potential internships, part-time jobs, and careers with them. Meet with your advisor as well. Make sure you are on track to graduate next year. How are those clubs going? Keep networking and get your name out into the community. As a student, you have POWER!
