2024 Paint the M Registration
New Mexico Tech Campus Meet at the parking lot at Facilities Management at 7:00 am Things to Know: 1. Online registration only- no in person registration. Each person must register themselves. 2. Bibs must be picked up from Gina Chavez in Brown Hall the week before the event. 3. Must have your bib to participate. 4. Must wear closed toe shoes. 5. No drones. 6. Last bus leaves at 7:45 am. 7. All participants must be 18 or older. 8. No pets allowed. 9. Cut off for registration is NOON SHARP on 10/17/23. Cut off to pick up bib is 5pm SHARP on 10/17.

Participant recognizes that every Paint the M activity has a certain degree of risk, and having full opportunity to consider the risks, knowingly and voluntarily assumes the risk of any injuries, regardless of severity, including death, and all risk of damage to or loss of property and expenses which Participant may incur, while participating in a Paint the M activity.

I, on behalf of myself, my agents, heirs, and next of kin, (collectively, "Participant") hereby agree to release, hold harmless and discharge Regents of New Mexico Tech and its employees, agents and representatives (collectively, "University") from any responsibility, liability, claims, demands, actions, and cause of action whatsoever arising from participating in Paint the M activity. Participant is aware that participation in Paint the M involves risks, dangers and hazards, including but not limited to the risk of serious injury or death. Many of the Paint the M activities are unsupervised. Participant understands it is their responsibility to learn about and understand the risks, dangers and hazards of participating in Paint the M. Participant understands that this release includes releasing the University from any financial obligations or liabilities, including attorney's fees and court costs, that Participant may incur while participating in the Paint the M, or while engaging in independent, non-Paint the M-supervised activities tangential to participation in Paint the M activities, that result from Participant's own acts, errors or omissions.

Participant understands that the University does not provide medical insurance coverage for participation in Paint the M and that Participant, must provide their own personal medical insurance. In the case of injury or medical emergency and in the event that Participant cannot respond at the time of that emergency, the University has permission to seek, administer, or have administered whatever first aid or emergency medical care deemed necessary for Participant's welfare. Participant, and not the University, shall be responsible for any and all charges for all health care services regardless of whether Participant medical insurance would cover the charges.

Participant certifies that to Participant's knowledge there is no medical reason limiting Participant from safely participating in the Paint the M. It is the responsibility of the participant to maintain their wellness (e.g. proper rest, nutrition, hydration, etc.), be physically fit to participate, and address any potential deficits (e.g. weaknesses, past injuries, etc.). Furthermore, Participant agrees to obey all municipal, state, and federal laws, as well as New Mexico Tech's policies.
