General Information
Venue:
The tradeshow is held in the upper level of the double deck barn located at the SW corner of Central Ave & 5th St on the Wisconsin State Fair Park grounds. The facility is fully enclosed with excellent lighting and ventilation. Three loading doors are large enough to bring most trailers into the building (semi trailers excluded). The space is open, with pillars set 30' apart and from the outer walls. Overall space is 270 x 120 ft, with a total square footage of 32,400. 110V Power is complimentary on each pillar. We do have complimentary WiFi available in the building for vendor use. It is not super fast, but is available if you need it to complete transactions.
Remember that the building is a barn, and while cleaned, may have small bits of dirt or other dried "farm" residue on the floor and in the corners. For select vendors with large equipment, select outdoor spaces are available.
We place signage around the event to draw attention to the tradeshow, as well as making regular announcements through our event PA system to bring attention to, and encourage people to visit the tradeshow.
Attendance/Audience:
The attendance at World Beef Expo usually runs around 5.000 individuals over the course of four days. Most begin arriving late Wednesday, and departing mid-day Sunday. Most attendees at the World Beef Expo own their own businesses and have a wide degree of interests. Obviously, everything agriculture is fair game, including all forms of hardware (livestock and other), business information, crop production, and business software. Consumer goods such as clothing, and household items have been draws as they would be with any other audience. Depending on the show schedule, traffic in the tradeshow will have high and low periods each day.
While a large percentage of our attendees visit the tradeshow, there is no gaurantee as to how many will pass through the tradeshow each day. We always attempt to place our regular vendors that have the largest draw at the back of the venue, so that guests walk by nearly all booths to get to them. World Beef Expo also attempts to hold other small ancillary events in the tradeshow area to help drive traffic.
Setup/Teardown:
Vendors are welcome to set up all day Wednesday or Thursday until 1000AM. For those vendors working out of their own trailers, assistance will be provided to bring their trailers into the building and spotting them to their assigned location. All trailers that will be in the tradeshow building need to be in place Wednesday evening by 9PM.
For those vendors bringing larger equipment on trucks or trailers, assistance will be provided to unload them via skidsteer with pallet forks. A loading dock is not available.
If you will be leaving Saturday evening and have a trailer, please let us know when you arrive so that we may plan accordingly.
All vendors on the tradeshow floor will have access to 120V AC electricity. Please bring any extension cords or power strips that you wish to use. Outlets are located on each building post. Building posts are located 30' apart
Tradeshow Hours:
The tradeshow will be open Thursday 12PM-7PM, Friday 9AM -7PM, Saurday 9AM-7PM, and Sunday (optional) 9AM-2PM.
Silent Auction:
World Beef Expo holds two silent auctions at the tradeshow. If you are able to donate 2 items to the auction, you will have exposure in both auctions. We are a non-profit, and the silent auction is held as a fundraiser to support the show. Items auctioned are provided by sponsors and tradeshow vendors alike. If you have any items that you would like to donate to the silent auction, please let us know!
Questions:
World Beef Expo has people dedicated to supporting the vendors while they are at the tradeshow. There is a small office located adjacent to the tradeshow floor that is manned most of the time, and you are welcome to ask any questions as they arise during your visit.
