    3. Client Authorization
The Client hereby authorizes the Company to:

Make USDA appointments and related administrative arrangements on the Client’s behalf in connection with health certificate endorsement.
Submit required paperwork and documentation to the USDA for endorsement purposes.

Arrange for the transportation of their pet(s).

Allow sufficient time for USDA processing and return of endorsed certificates.

The Company will treat all Client information as confidential and will not disclose personal or identifying information to third parties without the Client’s prior written consent, except where required by law or necessary for USDA submission.

    6. Limitation of Liability
The Company shall not be held liable for any claims, losses, delays, expenses, or damages related to:

    8. Acknowledgment
By signing below, the Client confirms that they understand and accept the limited scope of services provided by Traveling Tails and agree not to hold the Company responsible for any matters outside this scope.

  • Traveling Tails Health Certificate Waiver 2026

Traveling Tails Health Certificate Waiver 2026

  • Due to recent reductions in staffing and changes in protocol at the United States Department of Agriculture, Animal and Plant Health Inspection Services (USDA-APHIS), we have it has been advised that the endorsement of international health certificates for the exporting of personal pets is being significantly delayed. The USDA-APHIS offices are often returning endorsed certificates the day before or the day of the animal's intended departure.

Please be advised that I will do my utmost to ensure that a health certificate is returned to you in a timely fashion; however, once the health certificate is in the hands of the USDA-APHIS officer, I am unable to access it.

In order to increase the likelihood of receiving your endorsed certificate before your date of travel, I recommend the following:

    1. Utilizing a pet travel service that offers insurance and contingency plans for delayed health certificates and flights.
    2.  Purchasing travel insurance so you can reschedule your flight if needed.
    3.  If your destination country requires an original, endorsed, and embossed health certificate from the USDA-APHIS office, please purchase a priority overnight shipping label from FedEx with a guaranteed delivery time. I strongly discourage using any other shipping label or company, as there is no guarantee that your health certificate will be returned to you on time if you choose to do so.

Traveling with a pet also requires research and preparation prior to travel. All information regarding each country's requirements for exporting an animal can be found on the USDA-APHIS website. These requirements are put in place by both the government of the United States and the government of the destination country and strict observance is mandatory. Please be advised that if your pet does not meet these requirements, the animal clinic, of your choice, will not be able to issue a health certificate

By signing below, I acknowledge that I have read this document and that I understand that Traveling Tails is not responsible for the delayed endorsement of health certificates by USDA-APHIS officials.
