This general draw is best suited for unguided hunters on public land. I understand that most tags for deer and elk in this general draw are not trophy quality units and very few outfitters are available. These general tags are the same tags that Idaho residents can purchase over-the-counter.
On average, hunters can expect to encounter younger animals—typically 2–3-year-old bull elk and mule deer bucks—across both archery and rifle seasons. While older age-class animals are occasionally taken, they are not common in these general units.
If you are interested in guided elk or deer hunts, please give us a call to review availability with a Huntin’ Fool Adventures Advisor as there are better guided options in other states.
