Waiver of Liability for Equine Activies
Participating in activities with horses involves an inherent risk including the risk of serious injury or death. I agree to take part in Equine Activities (ground-based only) on the understanding that I will take responsibility for my own safety and that being around horses entails known and unanticipated risks that could result in injury or death to others or me. I hereby assume all risks in connection therewith and
expressly waive any claims for any injury/damage or loss arising there from.
To the extent permitted by law, I hereby agree to protect, indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Kester Counseling PLLC (KC), Janet Kester, LMSW, W. Brown Performance Horses, LLC, Chase Lake Equine Center (CLEC), William Brown, Lisa Mercure, Douglas Doss, and all KC/CLEC employees, agents, directors, associates, affiliates, and contract personnel, the hosting facility (Chase Lake Equine Center)
and all their owners, managers, volunteers, employee and persons involved with the host facility, horse owners, and all participants in the training course against all claims/losses/damages arising out of participation in this Equine Activity.
WARNING
Under the Michigan Equine Activity Liability Act, an Equine Professional Is not liable for an Injury to or death of a participant in an Equine Activity resulting from an inherent risk of the equine activity. Michigan Compiled Law 691.1661 and the following sections.
CLOSED-TOED SHOES (BOOTS PREFERRED) MUST BE WORN. NO CROCS OR SANDALS. LONG PANTS ONLY.
This Is a smoke free property. No smoking allowed anywhere on property. NO DOGS allowed.
