This Agreement will take effect upon receipt of the iPad from the School. The School reserves the right to retain or transfer the iPad to another eligible Student if the Student does not, or is unable to, for any reason, fulfill any of the requirements of this Agreement, or if the iPad shall be returned to the School in accordance with any terms of this Agreement.
Under this Agreement the School will, at its sole discretion, provide the Student with:
- an iPad equipped with the necessary software applications to prepare educational materials;
- instruction, coaching and ongoing support in how to use of the iPad;
- ongoing technical support, as determined by the School’s IT staff, for hardware and software to keep the iPad working well;
- instruction on how to back-up important data on the iPad to cloud storage and how to backup the iPad at home. The School will not take responsibility for backing up any data on the iPad;
- a one year warranty from Apple upon purchase of the iPad by the School;
- WiFi access at School.
Substitution of Equipment
In the event that the iPad is inoperable, the School has a limited number of spare iPads for use while the iPad is being repaired or replaced. This agreement remains in effect for the substitute. If a student forgets to bring their iPad or power charger to school, a substitute will not be provided.
Governing Law
This agreement shall be construed and governed in accordance with the laws of Hong Kong and the parties agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of Hong Kong courts.
