Greetings Prospective FAME Student!

We are excited about your interest in joining the New Manchester High School Fine Arts Magnet Education Program. We look forward to your audition/interview! Before we can make an acceptance decision we must make sure you understand and agree to all of the guidelines, rules and regulations you will be responsible to as a New Manchester High School FAME student. Please read below to gain a full understanding of the commitment required to be a FAME student. See our FAME HANDBOOK for more detailed information for each area.  

ACADEMIC GUIDELINES:
All FAME students must maintain a 2.5 overall GPA to participate in the FAME program. All FAME students must maintain a 3.0 (B average) in their individual discipline to be in good standing in the FAME program.

DISCIPLINE GUIDELINES
A student will be placed on probation for excessive disciplinary infractions as defined by the Code of Student Conduct outlined in the DCSS Student Handbook. Any three infractions, including but not limited to not adhering to expectations, policies and procedures of their individual discipline, excessive tardies, excessive absences, cutting class, disrespectful, inappropriate or disruptive behavior, bullying, fighting, etc…, are grounds for automatic probation or dismissal from the FAME program.

PROGRAM COMMITMENT
It is our expectation that FAME students must fulfill their departmental participation requirements including: required performances, rehearsals and activities. While students are encouraged to participate in community and extracurricular activities, priority must be given to FAME sponsored events. Before a student commits to participating in other extra-curricular activities (sports teams, cheer leading, drill team, clubs, outside performances, etc.), the student/parent must speak with their discipline instructor to make sure it does not interfere with their area responsibilities. Failure to do so could result in the student being removed from the FAME program. 

FAME ACTIVITY FEES
All FAME students are required to pay annual FAME student activity fees (non-refundable) at beginning of the fall semester or as outlined by your area of study. The amount the student would be responsible for are set by the individual disciplines. These fees are non-refundable will accrue and all unpaid FAME activity fees will turn into fines and will interfere with a student participating in graduation and other important school activities.
