    Pricing & Scheduling

Sierra has three categories of bookings you can schedule for.

Small-scale sessions are booked for projects taking up to 3 hours to complete. This session is priced hourly ($200/hour) and has a $250 minimum price. Small-scale sessions are scheduled on Wednesdays, Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays and must begin at either 11am, 12:30pm or 2:30pm.

Half-day sessions are booked for tattoos taking between 3-4 hours to complete. This session is priced at a flat rate of $700. Half-day sessions are scheduled on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays and must begin at either 11am or 12:30pm.

Full-day sessions are booked for tattoos taking between 5-6 hours to complete. This session is priced at a flat rate of $1100. Full-day sessions are scheduled on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays and must begin at either 11am or 12:30pm.

All large scale projects (half-day, full-day, and multi-session) as well as all coverups and reworks must also schedule a consultation, which may be scheduled on Wednesdays from 11am-4pm, or on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays at 11am only.

Your project may require multiple sessions to complete. This will be discussed at your consultation if it applies to your project, at which time you and your artist will come up with a session plan of whether to do half-day or full-day sessions to continue the project.

Every appointment booked (including multi-session pieces) requires a non-refundable deposit.

If you would like something small & simple (2 hours or less), Sierra also participates in walk-in days most Wednesdays. Walk-in Wednesday is held each week at the shop from 12pm-6pm (last clients usually taken around 5pm). To have the best luck getting tattooed on a walk-in day, we recommend arriving close to opening.

Check the walk-in schedule and find more info here: https://www.tattoo34pdx.com/walk-in

    How this form works:

By submitting an inquiry form, you should include all necessary information that communicates your idea and helps your artist understand exactly what you are looking to get tattooed. After carefully reviewing your form, Sierra will be able to determine which category of session best suits your project and send you the corresponding scheduling information.

After submitting this form, you can expect to hear back from us within about 14 days. Our emailed response will include instructions on how to self-schedule your tattoo session, and consultation (if applicable) using Sierra's calendar. Then you will be able to see Sierra's availability and select a date for your session and submit a deposit payment.

Please understand that Sierra is unable to accept all inquiries as appointments and will respectfully decline a project if your schedules conflict or if the style of tattoo you are looking for does not align with Sierra's work.

  • Introductions & Contact Information

Sierra will use this information to contact you about your tattoo. Please be sure the contact methods you provide are ones you frequently check.
  • Are you a new or returning client for Sierra?*
  • Traveling Clients & Group Tattoo Sessions

Sierra is happy to accomodate clients traveling to Portland or wanting to be tattooed with 2+ people within the same session. Please reach out at least 2 weeks in advance for a better chance at securing a visit. Sierra is not always able to do large groups within one session or groups who all want larger work within one session. Consider attending a walk-in day as a group where multiple artists can work together to tattoo your group and make sure everyone is taken care of.
  • Tattoo Concept

Please fill out each field carefully and with all necessary details to best communicate your tattoo idea for Sierra.
  • Preference of linework, black and grey, or color*
  • Custom, Flash or Pre-drawn concept?

Here's a quick guide to choosing the right verbiage for your project.
  • A custom project is a collaborative design where you present an idea to your artist and reference photos for inspiration, and they create a unique design that is just for you. Sierra will not copy other artists' work verbatim and must create a custom project for any design that does not belong to her flash book or pre-drawn catalog.

Flash is the name for repeatable original designs that have been created by Sierra with the intention to be tattooed multiple times. These designs are available to browse on her website and Instagram. No changes are allowed for flash and they are intended for arms and legs.

Pre-drawn concepts are similar to flash in that they are original designs created by Sierra, but are intended to each be tattooed only once. They are able to be customized to fit your unique anatomy and are intended for specific placements. You can browse Sierra's pre-drawn catalog on her website and Instagram.

  • Are you interested in a custom project, flash or a pre-drawn concept?*
  • Are you interested in continuing a project with Sierra you have already started?*
  • Touch Ups and Multi-Session Projects

All of Sierra's tattoos include a complementary touch up session in the total cost. Your touch up must be done after your tattoo has had enough time to fully heal (at least 4-6 weeks) and must be redeemed within one year of getting it freshly done.

If you have already redeemed your free touch up session, or waited longer than a year to get your tattoo touched up, you will be charged a set-up fee to cover the cost of materials used. The fee ranges based on the amount of work required and is usually $50-200.

Sierra does NOT offer touch ups on other artists' work. This is instead considered a rework (or coverup if your intention is to fully hide the previous design), and is booked in a different category.

Continuing an ongoing project also requires that you have had enough time to heal between sessions (4-6 weeks) before adding on to the tattoo. Exceptions apply only for patchwork, but it is still smart to wait so your immune system isn't overloaded by healing too much work at once.

  • Are you interested in getting a touch up or in continuing an ongoing project with Sierra?
  • Design Reference Photos

Here, you can upload your reference photos to help visually explain your tattoo concept. At least 2 photos are required, and you can send up to 5 photos that are relevant to your design. There is also a section to send photos of your tattoo that needs touched up, your current progress of an ongoing project, and for placements.

Write a caption under each photo explaining why this reference photo is relevant to your design. Get into detail when explaining, or circle things that you want to emphasize. Some important things to make notes of are: line weight, amount of detail, shading style/ color style, small details you like, technical details (flowy lines, dotwork, swirls, etc.)

Please DO NOT send AI images or generate your own AI reference photo. This goes against Sierra's personal code of ethics and she would much rather see a poorly sketched composition, which often explains better in how you visualize elements to work together to create a composition.

Make sure any images you upload are high-quality and formatted correctly. Images should be .jpeg, .jpg, .png, or .pdf files so they are easily accessed. Do not attempt to send links to Pinterest boards/moodboards or videos. Instead you can take screenshots or collage them into one document.

If uploading photos relevant to a coverup tattoo, a rework, a placement that requires special planning (gap filler, scar coverup, etc), as well as photos noting current progress of continuing projects and of touch ups, make sure these are high quality and easy to see the entire area.

Take a photo by standing in front of a window or outside, using a tripod or having a friend take a photo, and setting a timer, making sure the camera is at a distance so the entire area is in view. Take multiple photos of different perspectives of the area if necessary but please do not send dimly lit indoor photos taken at an angle- it's difficult to see.

  • Placement Reference Photos

This space is intended for clients who are interested in getting a touch up, a coverup or rework, or in continuing an ongoing project with Sierra. You may also upload references of the placement if you are looking for gap filler or to fit a spot that has surrounding work, want to cover up scars, or want to match the style of an existing tattoo you have. You do not need to upload placement photos if none of the above applies to your tattoo.
