  • T.I.L.T. (Teen Interns Leading Together) Mission:

T.I.L.T. seeks to strengthen communities and the people in them by bridging the gap between public and non-public high school students of varying religions, races, and experiences. Public and private high school students take part in leadership training and team-building activities, utilizing the skills and relationships they acquire to mentor middle public and private school students, a significant community service project.

    T.L.C. (Teen Learning Community) Overview:

T.L.C. is partnering with TILT to create a peer mentoring program. Through this community service, Teaneck middle school students in public and private schools will have the opportunity to receive free and individualized peer support from high school students in public and private schools in three critical areas:  mathematics, language arts, and executive functioning skills. High school students will be partnered with middle school students to provide this mentorship.

  • Program Dates

This middle school tutoring program is open to all Teaneck residents. Below are the dates for the tutoring sessions. There will be high school volunteer tutors from public and non-public schools assigned to work with each participating middle school student. For this reason, your commitment to the program is important. If you are signing up from the program, we ask that you review the dates to make sure your student is able to attend ALL sessions so that the program is most effective.
