Spey-O-Rama is right around the corner: April 22-24, 2016 in San Francisco. Spey-O-Rama is a distance casting competition with a 15 foot, double handed rod and long belly line.
During the competition, Mia Sheppard and Whitney Gould, who are both past winners of the women's division, are teaming up to raise money for a wonderful cause: Casting for Recovery.
Here's how it works. You determine what you think the longest cast will be for Mia and for Whitney, add them togehter, and then make a pledge based on that combined total feet. For example, if both Whitney and Mia have a longest cast of 130 feet (total =260 feet) and you donate $1.00/foot then you will donate $260.00 to CFR. Donations raised will be split 50/50 between Northern CA and Northern Oregon CFRs.
The person that comes closest to guessing the combined distance of Whitney and Mia's longest cast, will receive a guided trip with Little Creek Outfitters in Oregon. The person that comes the next closest, will receive a two hour casting instruction from Whitney Gould.
