Whole House Ventilation Requirement

The EarthCraft Multifamily program requires Whole House Ventilation for all units be designed, at a minimum, to comply at a minimum with the ASHRAE 62.2 - 2010 standard. The mimimum ventilation airflow required for residences is based on conditioned square footage and number of bedrooms. This airflow must be accounted for in the HVAC system load calculations.

The ASHRAE standards allow for whole building ventilation to be met through the use of exhaust, supply, and balanced strategies. Please identify the ventilation strategy selected for this project.

Whole building ventilation may be provided by a fan operating continuously or intermittently. Please identfy the fan operation setting that will be used.
