I would like to receive “Beef in Brief, How America’s Cattle Serve the World” a social studies kit for grades 5-8. This kit includes a brochure that can be used as background and six activity masters related to the brochure topics. It provides a clear picture of modern beef production and how it fits in today’s world.
I would like to receive "Meet the Power Foods" mini-lessons (#17-772 Classroom Edition for teachers or school personnel). This mini-lesson is based on the Choose Well messages that can easily be presented to students by a teacher or a volunteer parent. The "Meet the Power Foods" Mini-Lesson includes a poster and a disk that contains a power-point presentation teaching students about MyPyramid, an interactive food label game called Secret Source, a presentation for school leaders and parents on school wellness and a variety of other school wellness, as well, as a "Read-Me" file to instruct the RD/teacher on how to present the material. It is appropriate for Grades 3-6 but can be adapted for use with older or younger children.
I would like to receive "Caretaker's All" toolkit for grades 5-8. This environmentally-based tool kit tells the story of good "caretaking". The two main points address stewardship and animal husbandry. Students will learn about five different environmental issues and in the 6th lesson they learn how to apply those principles learned in their own community.
I would like to receive "Enriching Family Mealtimes" for all ages. This kit provides school leaders, health professionals and parent volunteers the tools needed to promote family mealtimes in their schools or youth organization. Contents include "how-to" tips, advice, simple recipes, shopping lists, conversation starters plus many more resources.
