The deadline for all nominations is Thursday January 26th at 3pm.

You do not need to be present on Jan. 26th, but all nominees MUST be present on Election Day: Feb. 9th. 3-4pm. If you cannot attend on Feb. 9th, then we kindly ask that you do not consider running for any office.

Please carefully read the following information regarding the qualifications and requuirements of all Executive Board Officers.

Kingsborough Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgendered, and Straight Alliance Board of Elections

Requirements of all Executive Board Members as detailed in the Constitution:

vAll officers must achieve the mission of the LGBTS Alliance.

  ØArticle I: §B - Our mission is to promote and preserve safety, education, and political activity by, for, and about the LGBTQI community on campus and off; as well as unification through diversity.

vAll officers must attend at least half of the general meetings per academic semester.

Executive Board Members must attend at least two-thirds (2⁄3) of all general meetings.

vThree-fourths (3⁄4) of the Executive Board members must be present to hold a meeting

vThree-fourths (3⁄4) of the Board members are needed in order to vote on an executive decision

  ØShould the vote be split, the proposition must continue to be debated upon until an agreement is reached.

Qualifications to run for any Executive Board Office:

vYou must be a matriculated student

vYou must have a minimum GPA of 2.0

vYou must be able to fulfill the duties for a full academic year

You must be able to attend at least two-thirds (2⁄3) of general meetings

vYou must attend all club events throughout the academic year

vYou must have attended and/or contributed to at least two-thirds of all events.

For disclosure, all Executive Board and General Body meetings have been pre-scheduled for the following Spring 2012 semester.

Executive Board Meetings are scheduled: Mondays at 6pm

General Body Meetings are scheduled: Thursdays at 3pm to 5pm
