  • In PROCESSIONAL order list the names and relationship of the bride and groom's special guests and who will be escorting them to their seats just prior to the bridal party. The following is the proper order:

    Grandparents of Groom

    Grandparents of Bride

    Parents of Groom

    Mother of Bride

    Example:

    Judy & Donald Jones / Grandparents of Groom / escort themselves

    Sara Smith / Grandmother of Groom / escorted by her grandson Jim

    Lauren Bell / Grandmother of Bride / escorted by her brother Gary Wright

    Jennifer & Brian Jones / Parents of Groom / escort themselves

    Leslie Bell / Mother of Bride / escorted by her husband John Bell

  • PROCESSIONAL OF BRIDAL PARTY:

  • Groomsmen

  • Please list the Groomsmen in processional order with the groomsman who will stand furthest from the groom listed first and ending with the Best Man who will be standing closest to the Groom.  NOTE:  If you are considering height as a factor in pairing up your groomsmen and bridesmaids make sure you have them listed correctly. Changing this at the rehearsal is not an option.

  • Bridesmaids

  • List in PROCESSIONAL order the names of the bridesmaids beginning with the bridesmaid who will stand furthest from the bride and ending with the Maid/Matron of Honor who will be standing closest to the bride.  NOTE:  If you are considering height as a factor in pairing up your groomsmen and bridesmaids make sure you have them listed correctly. Changing this at the rehearsal is not an option.

  • Ring Bearer and Flower Girl

    Children must be six years of age and older to participate in the wedding.

  • Helpful advice regarding the person you choose to pin on the Boutonnieres & Corsages: It is best if this person is not part of the bridal party. They need to be at the Basilica at least one hour before the wedding. Ask your florist to provide STRONG pins and a NAME LABEL for all floral recipients. The Basilica Staff is not responsible for flowers left unattended on the property.

    *  MARRIAGE LICENSE: Bring to Rehearsal

    *  WEDDING RINGS:  Bring to the Wedding!

    *  WATER: Bring bottled water for the bridal party! We have no water fountain on the property.

    *  WEATHER: Check conditions. If needed, bring umbrellas, raincoats, etc.

    *  EXTRAS: Just in case... bring needle and thread, nylons, safety pins, lint brush etc.
