Tax Exemption In order to be exempt from sales tax on qualifying purchases in Kentucky, organizations must apply for exemption with the state directly with a 51A125 form. Once they receive approval, they should fill out a 51A126 for their event to be tax exempt; the 51A126 must be filled out completely and the approval letter (from the department of revenue in KY) should be attached.
