Inc. – established November 26, 1990 as a California 501C3 non-profit organization to educate the general public about the devastating effects of child abuse, and to provide an intensive experiential treatment program called the STARR Program – Succeed through Accountable Responsible Resolve for abused and abandoned teenage girls. CARTE also provides a dynamic women’s personal and professional transformation course called Partner in Excellence (PIE). Net proceeds from this course, which is open to all women, are used to financially support the STARR Program.
