  • Abstract Submission Guidelines

    By submitting an abstract, I agree to the following conditions:

    · Register for conference at the early bird rate.

    · Submit a full-length abstract for publication with an attached digital photo.

    · Submit your sponsoring organization/institution name for acknowledgement in the Conference programme.

    · Ensure that all copyright clearances have been obtained to present and publish.

  • Please submit a 150-200 word text abstract for review purposes. NZALT Conference 2012 Chair/Editor is authorized to circulate your abstract to conference committee members for review and selection. If accepted, this summary text will be published online or in printed programmes promoting the conference.

    Abstracts should contain enough detail to clearly convey the key message of the paper.

  • Review, Notification, and Program Placement Information

    · To ensure a high-quality conference, all submissions will be assessed by the Conference Chair/Editor for suitability of content.

    · Conference Chair/Editors reserve the right to not accept for presentation any paper that does not meet content or presentation expectations.

    · The contact author will receive notification of acceptance and presentation details by e-mailno later than 19 February 2012 .

    Proceedings / Peer-reviewed papers

    · Authors may wish to have a full written paper of their presentation refereed with a view to publication in conference proceedings. In common with practice for the 2008 and 2010 biennial conferences, proceedings will be published in a special issue of The New Zealand Language Teacher , to be published at the end of 2012.

    · If you wish to submit a full paper for consideration in proceedings, please indicate this when submitting your abstract by 15 th December 2011. The full written paper will need to be submitted by 30 th April 2012 to the Editor of The New Zealand Language Teacher , Dr. Martin East (m.east@auckland.ac.nz).

    • Only papers presented at the conference and received according to publication guidelines and timelines will be published. Publication guidelines for The New Zealand Language Teacher can be accessed from the NZALT website (http://www.nzalt.org.nz/whitepapers/NZLT.shtml ).
