Membership Agreement
The purpose of this Application, Membership Acknowledgment and Agreement is to ensure that I fully understand and comply with my obligations and expectations as a member of the Club. In case of my noncompliance with any item listed herein, my membership may be ended at the discretion of the Board of Directors. The membership in the Corinthian Cricket Club, Inc. has no voting rights and that the Club is governed entirely by a Board of Directors under the corporate laws of the state of California. Upon acceptance, the Club membership is non-transferable and is valid for up to one calendar year, expiring on December 31st of the year of issuance; and that my Membership may be concluded prior to the term completion by either party for any reason with a written notice at least 15 days in advance. I shall pay all membership dues, game fees (if any) and/or any amount due no later than the time it is due, and that non-payment may result in immediate cancellation of my membership. I shall fulfill all my duties as a member of the team, including but not limited to, my umpiring duties as assigned, following the captain’s orders and accepting his decisions, punctuality in reporting for games and training, etc. The team selection for each game is conducted entirely by the Club’s Selection Committee based on the criteria established by the Board of Directors, and that the decision of the Selection Committee regarding selection or non-selection is final. The Club provides no guarantee of number of games I may play in a year, or with which team of the Club I may play; and that in accordance with the SCCA regulations I will be registered with either the Corinthians or the Casuals team as deemed fit by the Selection Committee. It is my foremost obligation as a member to comply with the Club’s Code of Conduct. The Club reserves the right to end my membership in the event of my non-compliance, at the discretion of the Board of Directors. I shall conduct myself with proper decorum when representing the Club on and off the cricket field by exhibiting the highest level of conduct and sportsmanship in the Spirit of the Game as follows: The Spirit of the Game involves RESPECT for: The opponents, The role, decisions, and orders of the Team Captain, The role and decisions of the umpires, The game's traditional values. It is against the Spirit of the Game: To dispute an umpire's decision by word, action or gesture, to direct abusive language or criticism towards an opponent, umpire, or team member, to indulge in cheating or any devious practice. In addition, I shall RESPECT the following: Diverse ethnicity and religions of the Club members, the traditions and values of the Club Cricketing skills, abilities, and age of my fellow Club members, the Club property and equipment. In order to promote and strengthen the multi-national member base of the Club, I shall respect the common language of the Club by always speaking English at all Club activities, games and events.*

I HAVE CAREFULLY READ THIS RELEASE OF LIABILITY AND ASSUMPTION OF RISK AGREEMENT. I FULLY UNDERSTAND ITS CONTENTS AND ACKNOWLEDGE THAT I AM GIVING UP SUBSTANTIAL LEGAL RIGHTS, INCLUDING THE RIGHT TO SUE FOR NEGLIGENCE. MY ACKNOWLEDGEMENT AND INTENT ARE CONFIRMED BY THE SUBMISSION OF THIS FORM.

Under California law, a parent or legal guardian may sign this waiver on behalf of a minor child.
