TOURNAMENT GUIDELINES
Categories (₱1000 PER PAIR)
- Men’s: Beginners, Intermediate, Executive 45+ (Open)
- Women’s: Beginners, Intermediate
- Mixed: Novice/Beginners
Player Eligibility
The tournament is open to all registered players. Categories are determined by skill level.
- Men's Beginners: Not eligible if you have been a Champion or 1st Runner-up in any major or large tournament (16+ teams)
- Women's Beginners: Not eligible if you have been a Champion or 1st Runner-up in any major or large tournament (14+ teams)
- Men's & Womens's Intermediate: Not eligible if you have been a Champion in any intermediate or higher division.
- Mixed Novice/Beginners: Players who placed 1st or 2nd Runner-Up in any Beginners or Mixed category may join. However, past Champions are not eligible.
- Men’s Executive 45+: Open to all men aged 45+, regardless of podium history or racquet background.
Complaints and Verification
- All complaints must be submitted before the tournament begins. Once verified, decisions are final.
- No complaints will be accepted during the tournament.
- Organizers will make every effort to verify player eligibility, but community cooperation is encouraged. Please report any ineligible players in advance.

- Structure: Round robin format
- Platform: CHALLONGE (official tournament platform)
- Time: 3:00PM to 2:00AM

- March 28, 2026 (Saturday): Women's Beginner & Men's Executive 45+
- March 29, 2026 (Sunday): Continuation and Playoffs
- April 11, 2026 (Friday): Men's & Women's Intermediate
- April 12, 2026 (Saturday): Continuation and Playoffs
Match Rules
- Standard Matches: First to 11 points, sudden death
- Quarterfinals: First to 15 points, sudden death
- Semifinals: First to 15 points, sudden death
- Finals: First to 15 points, win by 2 (cap at 21)
Scoring & Rules
- Standard pickleball rules apply unless otherwise specified.
- Only the serving team may score points.
- Umpires must announce the score before each serve.
- The umpire has sole authority to make all line calls, including the kitchen line and baseline. Player and audience input will not override umpire decisions. All calls are final unless the umpire declares a replay.
- Disputes will be resolved by Umpires/Organizers; all decisions are final.
- Default wins will be recorded as 11–6.
Player Conduct
- Good sportsmanship is required at all times
- Unsportsmanlike conduct (e.g., verbal abuse, throwing paddles, taunting) will result in:
- 1st Offense: Warning
- 2nd Offense: Match Forfeiture
- 3rd Offense or Major Misconduct: Tournament Disqualification
Default Rules
- Failure to appear within 5 minutes of call time = default (forfeit)
- Medical time-out: up to 5 minutes; match must resume afterward or be considered a default
- Only registered players may compete; substitutions or unregistered players = forfeit
Disqualification Rules
- Playing in the wrong skill level or division
- Players previously confirmed as Champion or 1st Runner-Up, depending on the categories outlined in the Player Eligibility section.
- Repeated misconduct or unsportsmanlike behavior
- Violating tournament rules after an official warning
- Note: Entries are non-refundable once a participant is disqualified
Organizers’ Authority
- Organizers have full authority to interpret and enforce rules
- All referee/organizer decisions are final
- Organizers may adjust format, schedule, or rules to ensure fairness and smooth tournament flow
- If the scheduled dates are insufficient to complete the three-day tournament, additional days will be allocated on the following weekends.
- Outdoor Court Notice: Weather conditions may affect play; adjustments may be necessary. Flexibility is appreciated
Miscellaneous
- During afternoon matches, players are recommended to use a baseball cap or sunglasses to minimize the effects of sun glare.
- Food hubs will be available on-site
- Players must bring their own paddles; official balls will be provided
- Proper athletic attire and non-marking court shoes are required. Players must wear shoes with sufficient rubber grip to prevent slipping. Grove Street Pickle will not be held liable for any injuries, accidents, or incidents resulting from failure to comply with these requirements.
- Players are encouraged to bring personal supplies
Cash Prize
- Champion: ₱(TENTATIVE) + Trophy Cups + Gold Medals
- 1st Runner Up: ₱(TENTATIVE) + Silver Medals
- 2nd Runner Up: ₱(TENTATIVE) + Bronze Medals
