There are eight vacancies for Council Members. As always, we are keen to encourage new blood onto the Council and you are urged to propose any Full, Retired (formerly Full) or Fellow Member whom you think would make a good Council Member. You do not need the permission of the nominee and it is the Council's experience that if you ask someone if you may nominate him or her, they are likely to say no. However if a member of Council tells them that they have received the qualifying number of nominations, they may consider it more positively. If you would like a chance to join the team yourself then add your own name to the list below and ask another Member to nominate you as well. We will contact all Members who have received at least two nominations and invite them to stand for election.
Members of Council are elected for a period of three years and meet on the 2nd Tuesday of each month. Successful candidates will be informed by the Secretary and announced at the AGM and in the monthly Newsletter.
