To be eligible for this scholarship the nominee must be in good standing in the program and demonstrate the following:
Leadership skills in all program settings (academic, lab and clinical)
Excellent role model
Embodies the ethics and values of nursing
Emulates high professional standards
Prepares, motivates, and impacts other students as leaders
Participates in community activities and gives back to others
Mentors fellow students
Creates opportunities for engagement and involvement
Creates a positive, respectful, collegial and supportive environment
Fosters pride in IGH
The recipient will receive:
An inscribed, commemorative glass award
A monetary award that will be used towards tuition expenses.
Nominations completed by the stated deadline will be reviewed by the faculty. The recipient will be notified by the Associate Director. One Sally Langie Scholarship will be presented to each class only when a Nominee meets the award criteria. If there are no Nominees meeting the criteria, the award will not be presented.
