    • The Task Force is comprised of representatives from the New Jersey Juvenile Justice Commission, the New Jersey Office of the Attorney General, the New Jersey Institute for Social Justice, the County Prosecutors Association of New Jersey, the New Jersey Juvenile Officers Association, the Annie E. Casey Foundation, the Vera Institute of Justice, the New Jersey Public Defender, the New Jersey Department of Children and Families, the New Jersey Department of Education, the New Jersey Family Court, the Governor’s Juvenile Justice Delinquency and Prevention Committee, the NAACP New Jersey State Conference, Salvation and Social Justice, County Youth Services Commission Administrators, the faith-based/ethical community in New Jersey, and an organization representing employees who work at juvenile justice facilities,  as well as members recommended by the President of the New Jersey Senate, members recommended by the Speaker of the New Jersey General Assembly, and members personally or otherwise involved in the juvenile justice system in New Jersey. The Task Force was created by Executive Order in October 2018 and is charged with, among other things, considering actions and strategies to continue reforming New Jersey’s Youth Justice System. The Task Force will issue recommendations to the Governor’s Office, the Department of Law and Public Safety, other Executive Branch departments and agencies, and the Legislature; these recommendations will be made available to the public.

       
    • The content of all written and oral remarks and comments may be subject to disclosure under the New Jersey Open Public Records Act and may be included in the final written report mentioned above.
