  • Pain Diary: Monitoring your pain levels

The post procedure pain diary is a very important tool in your pain management cycle. Most initial treatments are targeted at finding the cause of pain, so it is important we know how effective the procedure has been.

    Following your procedure:

    -       No pain relief: means that the site injected is not the cause of pain, or it is the cause of pain however the treatment used may need to be altered.
    -       Short-term pain relief: means the injection has improved the pain and more long-term options can be discussed.
    -       Long-term pain relief: is a good outcome, and means that these injections can be part of your ongoing pain management strategy.
