• 200 Hour Yoga Teacher Training

    Abhyasa Yoga Institute, RYS
  • Welcome

  • Welcome to The Abhyasa Yoga Institute RYS 200‑Hour Yoga Teacher Training Certification Program.

Established over sixteen years ago ago and guided by a lead trainer with nearly thirty years of teaching experience and twenty‑five years of teacher‑training experience, AYI offers a level of mentorship and philosophical grounding that is uncommon in foundational programs. Students are supported within a mature school environment where the depth of classical yoga is not only intellectually understood but actively practiced and embodied. This combination of experience, continuity, and substance creates a training environment that is both rigorous and transformative, preparing students to teach with clarity, authenticity, and confidence.

This training offers an intensive immersion into the study and practice of yoga, including detailed posture clinics, foundational and applied yogic philosophy, study of the Eight Limbs of Yoga, physical and energetic anatomy, meditation practice and methodology, optional Reiki I and II certification, and training in the language, perception, and understanding of energy and healing. The curriculum is designed to support in‑depth personal growth, self‑inquiry, and transformation. Each participant is honored as a unique individual; throughout the program, students gain a deeper understanding of who they are, gradually unveiling and expressing their authentic teaching voice and confidence. As in any yoga class, students begin exactly where they are and progress with respect, compassion, and awareness of personal boundaries and limitations.

Please answer the following questions as accurately as possible. You will receive an email response upon review of your application.

    About the Abhyasa Yoga Institute
The Abhyasa Yoga Institute RYS, a Registered Yoga School with the National Yoga Alliance, is dedicated to the cultivation of self-mastery through Yoga Teacher Training certifications, Abhyasa Yoga Study certification programs, Intuitive Healing Therapy Training, Reiki Training, Mat & Aerial Classes, Workshops, Retreats and more. The AYI also offers continuing education credits for registered yoga instructors.

The Abhyasa Yoga Institute is founded on the understanding that consistent practice both on and off the mat produces transformation, while the observance of non-attachment helps to sustain the continuum of the life-long spiritual journey.

Abhyasa: Having an attitude of persistent effort to attain and maintain a state of stable tranquility. To practice. According to the Yoga Sutras, abhyasa (practice) and vairagya (non-attachment) are the two core principles upon which the entire system of Yoga rests. Through the deliberate integration of these two essential understandings self-mastery and self-realization can be obtained.
