  • Sacramento Realtist Members in good standing are welcome to apply to join a 2020 SRA Committee. Participation on a committee is an excellent way to contribute to the betterment of SRA and the community. Information on available committees are listed below.

    Please complete and submit the form below to apply. 

    The 2020 Sacramento Realtist President will make committee appointments based on your experience, the number of positions available, and the diversity of the committee members. Due to committee size limits, you are not guaranteed an appointment, even if you have previously served on that committee. You will receive an email notification should you be appointed and what committee(s) you have been appointed to.

    If the committee you requested is full, your application will be retained in case a position becomes available or you may be asked to serve on a different committee at your discretion.

  • SRA Committee Descriptions

    Below you will find information on each SAR Committee - please review before finalizing your selection. NOTE: Committee Chairs will notify you of meeting days and times. 

    Budget and Finance Committee

    Budget committee reviews and can approve committee budgets that are submitted to the Board of Directors. Handles the bookkeeping of the Association.

    By-Laws Committee/Grievance

    Committee is responsible for making sure all rules in the by-laws are being followed and shall examine, consider and report its conclusion on all by-law amendments.

    Grievance Committee will be formed to settle grievances according to formal procedure as agreed upon according to the Constitution and By-Laws

    Education Committee

    The Education Committee has the overall responsibility for the definition and ongoing review of the education philosophy, policy and standards of the association in respect of teaching, learning and assessment. To come up with speaker schedule for monthly meetings and to schedule a quarterly educational seminar.

    Fundraising Committee

    Provide information, building relationships and raising money to meet the organization’s special or ongoing needs and to schedule 4 fundraising efforts that best capture the attention, hearts and funds of the community per year. Plan yearly Holiday party and various raffles throughout the year.

    Legislative / Social Impact Committee

    Committee develops continuing involvement of legislation that concerns our Real Estate Industry or Housing issues. The committee is able to represent diversity and reconcile enough differences to sustain recommendations for legislative action and participation. Responsible for reporting important legislation to the membership.

    Community Service / Public Relations

    To come up with events to interact with community/charities once a quarter. To also work with other groups and organizations.

    Membership Committee

    Encourage newcomers to apply for membership and participate in Realtist activities and committees. Strive to be involved in programs to improve member retention and to come up with a membership drive.

    Advertising / Newsletter Committee

    To come up with a newsletter and to advertise events/accomplishments through various media efforts.

    Technology Committee

    The primary goals are to improve the ability to electronically collect membership dues at the local level, pay membership dues at the national level and to ensure that sufficient security is in place to guard against any irregularities that may interfere with data transfer integrity.

    Also responsible for social media presence.
