Eligibility Requirements
Instructions for Application - Academic Year 2024-2025
- Must be a resident in the following states: Lousiana, Mississippi, Arkansas, Texas, Tennessee, Alabama, Georgia, South Carolina, Florida
- Applicant must be a graduating senior (minority) enrolled in a designated state high school during the year of applying.
- Applicants must pursue college studies in a STEM-related field or Political Science/Government.
- Must have a cumulative grade point average of 2.75 or higher.
- Must submit an official high school transcript (showing 7 semesters of coursework and cumulative GPA).
- Submit two signed letters of recommendation (teachers, counselors, principals, etc.).
- A detailed explanation of your extra-curricular and community-based activities. List any honors, achievements, or recognition received).
- Must write a personal statement essay no less than 400 words on the provided topic.
Consideration for scholarship awards is based on a point system including GPA, essay writing, letters of recommendation, participation in extra-curricular activities, school organizations, and community service.
