Krewe of Barkus & Meoux

Krewe of Barkus & Meoux is proudly presenting our 26th Annual Pet Parade. This years parade will be held at Louisiana Downs on Feburary 8th, 2026. Gates will open at 11:00am. Parade will start at 2pm. Line up will begin at 1:15pm. You will recieve an email closer to the event with exact information. This year we are offering spots a little different. Cost will be $10 per animal and $25 for a motorized vehicle. Example: if you would like to bring your pet and your golf cart, your cost will be $35. 

There will be a float contest at 1pm and a costume contest at 1:30pm. You will need to sign up for each of those at the KBM tent the day of the parade. Our theme this year is "Purrfect Pairs" we can not wait to see everyones ideas. 

By signature, the undersigned warrants that he/she is the legal owner of pet(s) described above and that the owner is 18 years of age or older. Undersigned further warrants that during Mardi Gras Pet Parade he/she will restrain his/her pet(s) on a leash no longer than six feet (non-retractable), in a carrier, or cage in accordance with all applicable laws and ordinances. By his/her signature, undersigned releases The Krewe of Barkus and Meoux, Inc., it's insurers, it's officers, City of Bossier City, and Louisiana Downs from any liability for any foreseen or unforeseen accidents, or mental or physical injuries or illness or for any death, that may occur to or be sustained by undersigned or his/her family member(s) or guests or by his/her pet(s) or other property or possessions during the Mardi Gras Pet Parade. Signature also grants The Krewe of Barkus and Meoux, Inc., permission to use any photo(s) of pet(s) and person(s) and guarantees that his/her pet(s) have been properly vaccinated.

Owners who do not comply will be asked to leave.
