My Regional Commissioner ("RC") will assist in getting the cards made - Area 1C staff does not assist in thisIf I have not done so already, I will contact my RC to get the cards made ASAPAll ID cards must be laminated or the player/coach cannot play or coach the team for that gamePictures must be a current picture, head only such that the face image is at least 1"Cards do not have to be signed by my RC if they are directly from the Affinity website (ask your RC or coordinator). I understand that I must have all of the following with me at every game (check all boxes):*

I understand that certain games may be rained out. The only official sources for any rain out are an email from the All-Star Program Coordinator or the Area 1C (web site under "Field Closures")*

Yes, I will never assume a game is rained out unless I get a communication from the Program Coordinator or my field is listed as "closed" on the Area website.

I understand the following on field set-up

Some fields may require the first team to set up the goals and the last team to take them downI will assume that if my team plays the first game on a field that day, my team will need to arrive early to help set up the goalsIf my team has the last game on a field that day, I will make sure that the goals, nets and flags are put away. I will not leave the field until either the job is done or I see a volunteer from the host region taking down the field.

I understand that a player is ineligible to play if any of the following exist:*

"Zero Tolerance" means that any show of disrespect to a referee - including but not limited to shouting disapproval of a referee's decision, questioning referee decisions, attempting to influence referee decisions, and/or making derisive comments to or about the referee - are not tolerated in any way.*

I understand that if any coach (assistant or head coach) is sent off/ejected/expelled (i.e., "kicked out") the game is over and my team forfeits the match*

I understand that each player must play two quarters in each game UNLESS my team is 10U Regional or 12U Regional. Players in 10U Regional and 12U Regional Area must play THREE quarters. If a player does not play the required amount of quarters, subject to exceptions noted below, my team forfeits the game.*

I also understand the following regarding the minimum quarter rule:*

If a players is injured and cannot play the required amount of quarters, the minimum quarter rule does not apply to that player. I will make sure that the referee knows that a player is sitting because of injuryIf a player is substituted for injury in the middle of a quarter, the player that started the quarter and was replaced gets "credit" for that quarter played, even if the player came out after one stoppage of play. The player that came on for the substituted player does not get "credit" for the quarter played and must still play the additional required quarters in the game.A player that arrives after the game starts must play the rest of the game, starting with the next quarter after the player's arrival, unless the division is a "two-quarter" division and the player arrives before the start of the second quarter, in which case, the player must play two full quarters of the remaining threeThere is no minimum or maximum of quarters for a goalkeeper. Goalkeepers may play as many quarters in as many games as desired so long as the minimum quarters are met for all players. This applies to all levels. Goalkeeper can play as little or as much as the coach desires.A player may play four quarters in multiple or all games as long as all other players in those games play the minimum amount of quartersPLAYOFFS ONLY: There are no substitution limits once a game reaches extra time

I am not a sectional coachThe second game played against the same team will be a "friendly" and NOT count in the standings EXCEPT if my team is in a division with 5 or fewer teams, in which case all teams will play each other twice and all games will count.What counts as a "friendly" is the second game played, not necessarily the second game scheduled. If there is a rainout of the first scheduled game, the second scheduled game may end up being the game that counts in the standings - what matters is which game is actually played firstThe same point deductions apply in freindlies for forfeits, expulsions, send-offs and failure to supply required refereesMy team will be expected to give full efforts for friendly matches and not turn them into a farce. Coaches are permitted and encouraged, however, to experiment with playing time, tactics, positions, etc.

Referee information will be covered in a referee meeting. However, I do understand these basics:*

Regional coaches need to have two team refereesArea coaches generally need one team refereeI will be expected to supply one or two referees to referee a game on the field on which my team is playing that day (generally after, but it could be before if there are just 2 or 3 games on a field that day)I and my team referees will check the referee schedule on the Area 1C website every week as assignments may change due to games being moved due to permits/rainoutsI understand that my team will lose a point in the standings if I or one of my team referees miss an assignment

There is no "mercy rule" in Area 1C play but margins of victory larger than 6 can lead to a point being deducted*

I understand that sportsmanship is an AYSO tenet and that running up the score is considered not good sportsmanship by AYSOOn the first occasion that my team wins a game by more than 6 goals, I will receive an email about not running up the score and warning of the consequences of the next time this occursThe second time my team wins by more than 6 goals, my team will receive a two-point deduction in the standingsI understand that the Area 1C web site has a resource for coaches in how to deal with blowout games and will do my best to employ one or more of these tactics should my team become involved in such a game
