About Our Heroes Fund:
At the end of 2019 Pet Savers launched a fundraising campaign on social media to ask the community for help providing sholarships for underserved cat and dog owners in our region. This fund will be the source for the Heroes Funds available through this application process. Community members become Pet Savers Heroes by donating to this fund and taking an active role in accessing affordable spay, neuter, and vaccination services through Pet Savers. Funds are awarded through an application process overseen by Pet Savers leadership, with final selection determined by availability of funds and individual qualification following Washington State low-income guidelines.
What We Fund:
The Heroes Fund pays for Pet Savers charges above what applicants can afford to pay. Each application will be reviewed individually and funds will be awarded on a case-by-case basis using a sliding scale to determine applicant co-pay. The Heroes funds will apply to supplementation of full rate fees, vaccination costs, medication costs, and any unforeseen additional treatment identified during surgical stay.
Any individual that qualifies as low income according to the Washington State 2020 low-income eligibility may apply. Any qualifying resident of Pet Savers service area, Northern Idaho and Eastern Washington will be eligible.
The following are not eligible to apply: shelters; fosters; rescues, individuals not eligible under the Washington state qualifications.
