The Professional Mentorship Program is encouraged for both part-time and full-time professionals currently working within the Parks & Recreation field. The program is designed to enhance the quality of both professional skills and job performance for those actively working in the profession.
The more information provided on your application, the more accurate your mentorship connection. Special circumstances outside of the standard mentee/mentor qualifications may be needed. If your application involves a special circumstance, please contact the New Professionals Board to discuss your options
By signing below, you agree to the following conditions;
- To maintaining a time commitment of 1-2 hours per month in the first year of the relationship.
- To keep confidential what is discussed in each meeting, unless an agreement has been made to disclose information.
- To keep the best interest of your Mentor/Mentee at the forefront, above personal gain.
- To complete tasks agreed upon within established time frames and maintain communication.
- To attempt relationship mends prior to termination of the relationship.
- To ask for additional guidance when needing more from the Mentorship Program.
- To share open and honest communications.
- To continue a professional relationship beyond the mParks Mentorship Program.
