Guidelines for Outreach Assistance Expansion

Clubs must apply for this part of the Assistance Outreach program. Having identified a need for assistance, the club will apply on behalf of the swimmer. This allows flexibility for teams to assist a family not qualifying for reasons of income. This program effectively elminates the existing MVS Scholarship program. This program will cover all meet fees for each swimmer in a Missouri Valley sanctioned competition.

Program Requirements
- Clubs must apply on behalf of the swimmer. Applications from potential beneficiaries will not be accepted.
- Club Representatives will need to provide provide proof of club assistance offered to the athlete. This can be in the form of reduced fees or scholarship funds stated on billing statements to the family.
- All applicants must be registered year round USA swimming members (seasonal and flex members are not eligible)
- Outreach athletes are automatically qualified for meet fee waivers, so please do not apply for those athletes.
- Each club may have up to three swimmers enrolled in this program.
- Teams must identify each swimmer when submitting entries to a meet host. MVS will verify their enrollment and direct the meet host on the process of fee reimbursement.
