About AADB’s Mid-Year Meeting
The AADB Mid-Year Meeting provides an excellent forum for keeping up-to-date with state board concerns. Programs are designed to allow opportunities for interaction among all participants, including board members, dentists, dental hygienists, dental assistants, educators, board attorneys, and dental specialty associations. Panels and small discussion groups exchange ideas and information. Participants take away valuable information relating to current issues and learn about the complexities of regulating the dental profession.
It’s not too early to start planning for the 2020 Mid-Year Meeting. This year’s event will take place on Saturday, April 4 and Sunday, April 5. We will convene at the historic London House Hotel, which is located on the corner of Michigan Avenue and Wacker Drive overlooking the river. London House sits as one of the "Big Four" skyscrapers surrounding the Michigan Avenue bridge. To the north is the Chicago River and Magnificent Mile. To the east is the lakefront. To the south and west are the Chicago Loop and nearby Millennium Park, Art Institute, Merchandise Mart and the restaurants of West Randolph Street. When you start here, at the center of it all, you’ll find everything the city has to offer is just a short walk, bike, train or cab ride away. Meeting registration is now open and located below.
The Programs and Meetings Committee has done a great job of planning a strong array of sessions. Committee meetings (e.g. the Programming Committee, the New Members Meeting, Hygiene Caucus Meeting, etc.) start at 7:00 am on Saturday. The General Assembly will convene at noon. Scientific Sessions will continue throughout the afternoon. The Member’s Reception will follow Saturday night. On Sunday, the meetings will begin at 7:30 a.m. and continue until 4:00 p.m. A preliminary agenda will be available soon.
