Trinity County Animal Shelter Rehoming Page Application

We're sorry you need to rehome your pet. The Trinity Animal Shelter in Weaverville, CA is almost constantly full of stray cats and dogs and doesn't often have the space to accept owner surrenders. We have created a web page on our website where we can display any animal you wish to surrender to assist in rehoming it.

Please fill out the following form completely and thouroughly to assure we can give the best possible description of your pet. Once you submit the application, please give us up to 72 hours to review your application to contact you. If you do not hear from us after the allotted time, please call us at 530.623.1370

We will then require you to set up a scheduled time to come to the shelter with your pet for a temperment test to assess their behaviour. If you miss your scheduled time, you will have forfitted your slot on our web page. If your pet is approved, we will request any and all pictures of them that we can use for their slot, the more the better! Be advised your contact phone number and/or email address will be posted on the pet's slot so potential adopters may contact you.

After 30 days from the posted date, if we do not hear back from you that you still have your pet or not, we will automatically remove your post. If we removed your post and you contact us afterwards that you still have the pet, you will need to re-apply.
