Vendor applications will be accepted until March 1, 2020. Applications received after this date will be placed on a wait list. Vendors will be notified by March 15, 2020 if their application is successful.
The vendor selection committee will consist of members from the Town of Canmore, Downtown Business Association (BRZ), community members and/or market vendors and the Market Manager and will take place in early April.
Vendors will be evaluated against specific criteria including:
-Products are Made, Baked or Grown by the vendor
-Products are Made, Baked or Grown in Alberta (or BC)
-80% (vendor products produced in BC/Alberta) vs 20% (vendor products produced outside of BC/Alberta, fair trade, imported products)
-Quality and uniqueness of product
-Type of vendor in order to have as many different vendors as possible
-Organic or natural based products
-Environmentally conscious vendors
-Vendors history of compliance with Market rules
-Local vendors vs out of town vendors with preference given to local vendors if they meet the above criteria and their product is of equal or greater quality
