• Junior Board of Directors (JBOD) Member Application

     

    The U.S. Eagle Junior Board of Directors (JBOD) is a program designed to immerse youth ages 16 years old to 22 years old into the business of the credit union, leadership, community service, and financial literacy. Members of the JBOD could earn a letter of recommendation for college or employment application, pursue school credit for active participation and may qualify to receive $500 at the end of the year. In turn, U.S. Eagle hopes to gain insight into perspective and opinions on potential new products or services for young members.

    Junior Board members will attend a monthly meeting and will be invited to attend the Credit Union's Annual Meeting.

     Junior Board Members will be expected to:

    • Be a U.S. Eagle member in good standing
    • Perform three directives which benefit 1. Community Service, 2. Financial Literacy, 3. Credit Union Products & Services
    • Arrange for transportation to and from meetings
    • Agree to use their names, and possibly group photos, in press releases and other public relations initiatives
    • Sign Letter of Confidentiality & Conflict of Interest documents
    • Attend and actively participate in monthly meetings and activities
    • Successfully complete financial literacy, anti-harassment, and other assigned courses

    Application process includes but is not limited to:

    • Submission of a complete application
    • Provide two (2) letters of recommendation
    • Successfully pass credit and background check as determined by the Credit Union.
    • Complete an interview with the Volunteer Development Committee or its designee(s).

    U.S. EAGLE FEDERAL CREDIT UNION requires, as a condition of volunteer service, that all applicants consent to and authorize verification of their background, including information submitted in this application.

    This release and authorization acknowledges that U.S. EAGLE FEDERAL CREDIT UNION or any agent acting on its behalf may now, or at any time while volunteering, conduct a verification of my education, previous employment/work history, credit history, contact personal references, motor vehicle records, conduct drug testing and receive any criminal history record information pertaining to me which may be in the files of any Federal, State, or Local criminal justice agency, and verify any other information deemed necessary. The results of this verification process will be used to determine eligibility to serve as a Junior Board of Directors member of U.S. EAGLE FEDERAL CREDIT UNION.

    I have read and understand this release and consent, and I authorize the background verification. I authorize persons, schools, current and former employers, and other organizations and agencies to provide U.S. EAGLE FEDERAL CREDIT UNION or any agent acting on its behalf with all information that may be requested. I hereby release all the persons and agencies providing such information from any and all claims and damages connected with their release of any requested information. I agree that any copy of this document is as valid as the original.

     I do hereby agree to forever release and discharge U.S. EAGLE FEDERAL CREDIT UNION or any agent acting on its behalf to the full extent permitted by law from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs and expenses, or any other charge or complaint filed with any Agency arising from the retrieving and reporting of information.

     I understand that the information released, or testing done in connection with my application is for official use by and becomes the property of U.S. EAGLE FEDERAL CREDIT UNION.
