Terms and Conditions
Your first class is orientation.* It is held without dogs and is mandatory to attend the class. If you cannot make it to your orientation, please inquire before skipping it. *Full-length basic and puppy classes only.
Class Sizes and Low Registration: Classes are required to have a minimum of three students per class with a maximum of six or eight. We try to avoid canceling a class entirely and denying anyone a training experience. If your class still has a low number of registrants before it begins, you may be asked to combine classes with another available that day. In some cases, combined classes have an adjusted curriculum to suit all attendants. If you do not want to switch or combine classes, your funds will be kept on record as a credit for 1 year to be used with other class(s,) events, services, or products.
Payment: Payment is due prior to the first class. No refunds will be given for any reason. In the case of scheduling conflicts, registrations may be transferred from one dog/family to another (you can trade with a friend.) This must take place before the first class.
Additional fees: Some classes may require additional fees. Currently, the only class this applies to is Canine Good Citizen. There will be an additional fee for the test (TBD), as well as payment to the AKC ($10-$20) for your certificate upon passing. This test is not required to pass the class.
Removal from training: Trainer, at his/her sole discretion, may remove a pet or person from class if a hazard or threat of any nature to any animal or person is present. This includes those adding ongoing emotional stress to the group. No refund will be given under such circumstances.
Vaccinations: You may bring any vaccination or titer records with you to the first class. We recognize over-vaccination of pets is a very real concern. If you'd like more information on this or the use of titers, we suggest visiting http://www.protectthepets.com
