Savannah’s Waterfront festivals take place on historic River Street in Savannah, GA. Food vendors for each festival are encouraged to present a limited menu containing items inspired by the Festival.

    1. Application deadline is 5 weeks prior to each festival. 2. Application notifications (acceptance, request for more information, decline) will be sent 4 weeks prior to each festival to each applicant. 3. If accepted, a welcome letter, City of Savannah business tax form, and a department of health application will be emailed to each applicant. A copy of a valid City of Savannah business tax certificate and approval by the Department of Health upon inspection is required for acceptance into each festival. 4. Accepted vendors will be required to submit payment 3 weeks prior to each show. If no payment is received by this date, the applicant will be automatically denied. Payments are accepted by credit card, money order or cash. No personal checks will be accepted. 5. Accepted vendors whom have paid their booth fees in full will receive booth assignments, maps, and check-in instructions 2 weeks prior to each festival. 6. All payments are non-refundable.

    This general schedule is subject to change for each festival at the discretion of the organizer. 1. Upon check in, vendors will receive an unloading pass. 2. Show load in and load out is permitted from the merchant side of River Street Only, not the Savannah River side. The City of Savannah will ticket you for violating this rule. 3. Please notify us if you are going to be late. Christmas on the River: Friday, December 9 1. Check in window is between 10:00am and 12:00pm 2. Vendors will not be permitted to load in from the street after 12:00pm 3. Show hours are from 5:00pm to 8:00pm. Vendors will not be permitted to close their booths before 7:00pm. Saturday, December 10 1. Show hours are from 12:00pm to 6:00pm. Vendors will not be permitted to close their booths before 5:00pm. Sunday, December 11 1. Show hours are from 12:00pm to 4:00pm 2. Load out time is between 4:00pm and 7:00pm. New Year's Celebration: Saturday, December 31 1. Check in window is between 8:00am and 12:00pm. 2. Vendors will not be permitted to load in from the street after 12:00pm. 3. Show hours are from 4:00pm to 12:00am. Vendors will not be permitted to close their booths before 12:00am. 4. Vendors must have their booths set up and open for business at 4:00pm. Sunday, January 1 1. Show hours are from 12:00pm to 5:00pm 2. Load out time is between 5:00pm and 9:00pm

    City Business Tax Certificates: The City of Savannah requires all Food Vendors to apply for a Temporary Festival Business Tax Certificate. Vendors need to apply annually. The fee is $85. The application will be sent to accepted vendors or you may find it on the City of Savannah Revenue Department’s website. Sales Tax Sales tax is the responsibility of the vendor; Georgia Department of Revenue forms will be provided to accepted vendors.

    Vendors are responsible for obtaining a Temporary Food Service Permit through the Georgia Department of Public Health. Application, payment, and questions may be directed to 1395 Eisenhower Dr, Savannah, GA 31406 or 912.356.2160. Applications are due to the Health Department 30 days prior to each festival. DPH contact is Denekeya Timmons at email address denekeya.timmons@dph.ga.gov. The fee for this permit is $60.00 and the application can be downloaded on their website.

    White tents are required. Per City Enforcement please bring tent, weights, sides, outdoor extension cords, and lighting for your booth. Extending your space is prohibited. If you need more room, you must rent another space. There should be no more than 3 ft between the back of your booth and the railing or back wall. If your tent has a bottom-rear stabilizer bar you must situate your tent as close as possible to the rails, planters, etc. Staff will be on-site to advise on any tent placement questions. Attendance: please be present, at all times during festival hours. Only one vendor is allowed per rented space. Relocating your booth is strictly prohibited. This is an outdoor event. Please come prepared for all weather situations. NO REFUNDS will be given due to the weather conditions. Self-contained (propane or battery powered) heaters are welcome; electric heaters are not allowed due the excessive amperage drawn, thereby overloading the breakers. Per the City of Savannah: Absolutely no tape or rope is allowed to be attached or tied to the poles, railing, benches, and/or trees (etc.) If the organizer incurs any charges for violation of this rule, the vendor assumes responsibility for the amount invoiced and be given a warning for future shows. Savannah’s Waterfront is responsible for security, advertising, promotion, plaza rental, vendor attendance fees to the City of Savannah, electricity, activities, and entertainment. Savannah's Waterfront determines booth location once vendor is accepted and payment is received. Post all prices for items at your food booth. No food vendor may produce or sell any merchandise, apparel or promotional items with the Savannah's Waterfront logo or wording without prior consent. All signage must be professionally printed and produced; no handwritten signage is allowed. A cleaning service is contracted at no additional charge to vendors to help dispose of trash throughout the festival. However, food vendors are responsible for disposing of any remaining trash. Designated dumpsters are located on the Abercorn Street Ramp. Do not dispose of trash in River Street trash cans. Vendors are responsible for cleaning underneath their booth (plaza surface) during breakdown (i.e.: grease, oil, etc.) Per city regulation cleaning chemicals may not be used on River Street. In addition, no waste (food or otherwise) may be disposed of in any manner that may lead to run off into the river. Please clean equipment off premises. Food vendors may sell non-alcoholic Coke™ beverages only. No glass containers are permitted for sale. Savannah Waterfront Association does not provide generators for these events. Electricity is included in all vendor fees (limited to a 110 outlet, bring ample extension cords for power since outlets can reach 50 ft -100 ft from booths.) Public water supply is available to vendors.

    All events are considered rain or shine. Extenuating extreme circumstances such as a Hurricane warrants cancellation of a show. Vendors will be notified as soon as possible; vendors shall not otherwise assume show cancellation or changes. Vendor contact information should be accurate in order for timely notification.

    These are outdoor events on Rousakis Plaza located along historic River Street. Every reasonable effort will be made to ensure a safe and secure environment during all hours of the festival, including around-the-clock security. Savannah’s Waterfront, its employees, contractors, sponsors and volunteers, nevertheless, will assume no responsibility for loss or damage incurred during the show. Booth Items should not presented in such a manner that public display is potentially harmful to the booth or its visitors.

    Submission of this application shall constitute an agreement on the part of the vendor to comply with the conditions set forth in this prospectus, including the following: Release and discharge of Savannah’s Waterfront, its employees, contractors and volunteers from any and all claims occasioned by damage or loss of booth and booth contents while in possession of Savannah‘s Waterfront. Additionally granted is permission to use submitted image(s) and name for the express purposes of Savannah’s Waterfront festival promotion. Vendor agrees to hold Savannah’s Waterfront, its employees and volunteers, all merchants owning or leasing space in the plaza area, their agents and employees free from and against any suits, proceeding actions and causes or actions of any and every kind and nature arising or growing out of in any way connected with vendor's use of occupancy of the plaza, regardless of fault, negligence, or lack thereof, of any responsibility for theft, damage, or injury to vendor's property or person.
