Dear Day Play & Boarding Parents
We LOVE having your fur babies with us! We take great care of them. Our motto is to “treat them as if they are our own” which is easy since our own pets are frequently here as well! Our goal is for all pets to be happy and content. For some dogs, this means playing quietly with a few others, while for others this means playing in the sprinklers, pools or on the “rugby” field. No matter what your baby prefers, we will make it a great day for them.
A couple of things to know
Bumps and Bruises: Just like kids playing outside, accidents might happen. When dogs are running, jumping, wrestling and playing with other dogs an occasional scrape or sprain might occur. Don’t worry: we will assess all injuries and treat them immediately. However, some dogs are stoic and don’t let us know they have an injury until they get home. If you get home and realize your baby is injured, please give us a call. We will tell you what needs to be done. Often times, a scratch or sprain just needs a little time to heal itself, similar to how us people treat our own injuries. If medication is needed, we can get that for you from our medical office. There might be times we ask you to bring your dog in to see one of our doctors. No matter what, we will help you out.
Colds and Sniffles: Just like kids going to school, dogs can pass germs to each other and get colds. Most of these are minor and resolve by themselves without any treatment. All of our dogs are vaccinated against Kennel Cough and Flu but, just like people, there are other germs they can get which cannot be prevented with vaccines. Once again, no worries and please let us know if you need our help.
Accidents Can Happen: We want your fur babies to have a great time in a safe, fun and protected environment. Our goal is for them to go home happy and tired. We do everything possible to avoid accidents and injuries and when they occur we will help you get them well.
Medical Attention: Just like kids playing football outside or going to school, there are inherent risks and occasionally an injury might occur or a dog might pick up a bug from another dog. Many of these problems will resolve on their own at home. However, if your baby needs medication or testing, such as x-rays, we can get that taken care with one of our veterinarians but you will be responsible for the cost. Please let us know if you have any questions or concerns. Thank you for the opportunity to care for your 4-legged family member!
