This week, most of you took the GMetrix test.
There were numerous technical difficulties, mostly on behalf of the testing company, GMetrix. While you were taking the tests, I was in constant contact with the company trying to troubleshoot the issues - which were all at their end. Our IT department has nothing to do with the technical failures of the exam.
- I was very pleased with your compliance with the testing center requirements.
- I was expecting relatively poor scores because of the lack of rigor in learning that I have witnessed this semester.
- Out of 76 participants in the test, only 7 students passed the test.
- If you did not receive a score, it is because you did not properly finish the exam.
- NOW is the time to get to work. If you really concentrate on your work, you have enough time to gain the skills to pass.
- IF I see a genuine effort to study and prepare, I might consider taking this test off the gradebook, but it is up to you. In the remaining days of this class, I do not want to see any off-task behavior. No phones, no listening to music. No disruptions.
