  • Review the Commerce City eligibility criteria listed below.

    Criterion A: Architecture

    • Represents distinctive characteristics of an engineering or architectural type, period, or method of construction; or
    • Represents the work of an architect who is recognized locally, regionall, or nationally; or
    • Represents a rare or decreasing type of architecture or engineering; or
    • Represents geographic importance through unique location. 

    Criterion B: Social History

    • Represents a direct and substantial connection with persons significant in history; or
    • Represents a direct connection with economic history and development; or
    • Represents a direct connection with political history and development; or
    • Represents a direct connection with educational history and development; or
    • Represents a direct connection with traditionally underrepresented communities.

    Criterion C: Events/Themes of Development

    • Represents direct association with event(s) that have made a significant contribution to history; or
    • Represents direct association with the development of key themes in Commerce City, the region, or the nation.
