The Quality Management Institute is a one day institute (April 2, 2020) from 8am - 5pm which will occur prior to the National Latinx Conference on HIV/HCV/SUD. The institute will be located at the Albuquerque Convention Center.
Participants in this all-day session will sharpen their focus on their agency's data collection efforts and strategize with other participants around evaluation tools and approaches to design and spread successful quality improvement projects through a facilitated discussion.
Our facilitators will use HRSA’s Policy Clarification Notice 15-02 as a framework for quality management and examples drawn from real life situations. With the help of quantitative and qualitative tools, participants will work through the examples to identify opportunities for improvement, set goals for QI projects, identify key stakeholders for the success of their projects, identify any potential barriers, and document how they will plan to capture progress as they work on meeting their goals.
Quantitative and Qualitative tools that will be used include performance measurement (with disparity analysis), process and journey mapping, root cause analysis and driver diagrams, and A3 quality reporting. Additional tools along the QI Projects lifecycle from discovery through design to evaluation will be referenced.
