  • The Western Region of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc., shall annually, offer current college brothers, with strong academic performance and notable leadership activities and potential an Award in the amount of $500. This award shall be a function of the Western Region Purpose Foundation. It is desired that each year, at least (1) award winner hail from each of the Western Region’s 5 Districts.

    PURPOSE FOUNDATION APPLICATION CHECKLIST 

      Complete all sections of The Purpose Foundation Scholarship Application
      One copy of an Official Transcript (Certified by Registrar and in a sealed Registrar Envelope)*
      Three (3) letters of recommendation (optional)
    1. Alpha Leadership Source (chapter advisor, area or district director, chapter president)
    2. Institutional Source (college letterhead)
    3. Professional Source (letterhead)
      Resume
      Headshot Photo (2" x 2" - professional)
      List all campus/community involvement (Including offices held, honors, awards, etc.)
      Essay of at least 250 words of “Your Vision to Equip, Educate, and Empower College Brothers After You Graduate.” The essay shall be double-spaced, 12 pt. font, 1”margins, and maximum 3 pages.
